We are pleased to announce that in 2009 Melbourne Sustainability Drinks will be held at Tjanabi, in Federation Square. (Flinders St side)

In the traditional language of the Indigenous Boon Wurrung people of Melbourne, “Tjanabi” means to “have a joyous occasion—or to celebrate”.

Tjanabi is committed to practices that sustain the environment, including supporting a number of local initiatives such as the landcare program.

Embracing the Federation Square sustainability initiatives; including aiming to be carbon neutral in the near future; Tjanabi is involved in a pilot organic waste disposal project.

Tjanabi is proud of its commitment to a modern Australian cuisine.

Through great food, good company, art and culture Tjanabi celebrates a contemporary view of Australia’s Indigenous heritage and spirit. Sourcing native produce and supplies locally is of second nature.
